TBD Launches Initial Web5 SDK For Decentralized Applications

“The collection of technologies includes tamper-proof, self-owned decentralized identifiers (DIDs); secure digital certificates called verified credentials (VCs) that provide legal proof of things like name, age and ownership of assets; and decentralized web nodes (DWNs) that store data in a decentralized way.””Web5 brings decentralized identity and data storage to your applications. It lets developers focus on creating delightful user experiences, while returning ownership of data and identity to individuals.”The full Web5 platform is expected to launch later in 2023, but with this initial release, developers can start building decentralized applications on TBD’s developer platform.”“We invite the world to join us in building and adopting open and decentralized technologies that solve real problems for real people. We believe an open source model will win in a decentralized, permissionless world,” states the repository’s welcoming message.
